Reflections on Mark 5: The Bleeding Woman

Since my last article, I’ve undergone an extreme health crisis followed by a successful surgery to correct my issue. I’m now a few days post-op and, by the grace of God, I’m doing well.

Many of my readers also subscribe to Missio Dei, but for those of you who don’t, I wanted to share with you the Gospel Reflection I wrote for them this morning. Today’s reading is Mark 5:21-43, which is the perfect passage for me as I begin writing again. In this article I share a bit of my personal journey—including the miracle Jesus blessed me with, and His loving presence through the entire crisis.

Miracles aren’t reserved for times long past or rumors of something that might possibly have happened to someone somewhere at some point in time. God provides miracles each and every day—if we have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. God is good—and will always turn around and seek us out if we, in faith, seek out His loving care.
