Thank you for this excellent post. I am reminded of the words of Pope Adrian VI: “The Rosary is the scourge of the Devil.”

I love that quote!

Its funny that she may not have been familiar with at least the modern form of the Rosary, given her depiction in Icons of Our Lady of the Rosary (or of Pompeii.)

It is indeed funny how history gives us the wrong impression of the truth. Depictions of Our Lady of the Rosary in artwork didn't first appear until two hundred years after the life of St. Catherine, so they don't reflect actual history from her day. As a matter of fact, the legend that the Rosary was given to St. Dominic in the 13th century didn't even come into existence until the 15th century, well after St. Catherine's death.

Hi Ms. Jenny,

Are you writing a second half of St Catherine’s life? I loved book 1 and have read it twice❤️

That's so wonderful to hear, Mary Margaret! And yes, I'm working on the sequel now. At the moment I'm still in the research stage, and will be heading back to Italy soon for further research. I have parts of the sequel written, but will be writing more chapters after I return from Italy in the fall. I'll keep my readers posted! In the meantime, if you'd like to leave a review on Amazon or Good Reads, I'd greatly appreciate it. God bless you!
